It’s easy to collect phone numbers during checkout.

If you're using Hive with vivenu, you can ask fans to sign up for SMS updates during the checkout process. It’s the fastest, easiest way to grow your SMS list—and it keeps you compliant with texting regulations.

Let’s get started 👇

Step 1: Set up SMS Opt-in in vivenu

1. Log in to your vivenu Dashboard.
2. Navigate to Settings > Data Fields.
3. Select the Global tab.

Step 2: Create an SMS Opt-in question

1. (Option 1) In Global settings, Data Fields, enable Phone > Collect phone numbers of ticket buyers in purchase orders and customer records. This will allow Hive to collect phone numbers and collect opt in status.

1. (Option 2) Click Add New Field. Choose either:
   • Checkbox for a simple opt-in, or
   • Selection for a more explicit opt-in (e.g. “Yes” or “No” dropdown).
2. Set the Name to sms_opt_in (must be typed exactly like this so Hive can detect it).
3. Set the Title to SMS Opt-in.
